Anil, a rank holder in both the CA exams, qualified in 1975 and has over 40 years of experience, mainly in areas of assurance practice.
Anil has been associated as senior partner with some of the most reputed Indian accounting firms. After spending the first eight formative years of his professional career with India’s oldest firm K.S. Aiyar& Co., for the next 10 years, Anil was a senior partner of Ratan S. Mama & Co. He merged his personal practice with ASA & Associates in 2008 where as a senior most partner and National Head of Assurance Division, was instrumental in rapid Pan-India expansion of the firm.
Over the years, Anil has extensive experience in the area of assurance practice and company law, with all its facets dealing with assignments of all sizes of national and multinational clients, both in private and public sectors, including audits of all government owned oil companies, UTI, IDBI, ICICI, & even RBI. Anil was appointed as auditor of an Off-shore bank under IFRS environment. He has extensive exposure to international clients, mainly Japanese companies operating their wholly owned subsidiaries or joint ventures in India. He has introduced and established audit processes and methods of International Standards in the aforesaid firms.
Over the years, Anil also has vast experience of systems review, corporate structuring business acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, etc.
He had been a member of the Managing Committee of Bombay Chartered Accountants Society for which he has co-authored a book on section 80 HHC.
Equipped with good analytical skills and commercial acumen, he has been perceived by most clients to be a solution provider.
